The rules for using queri.

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of queri (the "app"), published by Omzor ("we", "us"). By downloading or using queri, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. What queri is

queri is a mobile course that teaches SQL by having you write and run real queries against a real, on-device SQLite database. Lessons 1–8 are free, permanently, with no time limit. Lessons beyond that require a Pro upgrade.

3. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use queri on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial learning purposes. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app beyond what applicable law allows
  • Resell, sublicense, rent, or share a Pro license key or subscription with people it wasn't purchased for
  • Use the app to build a competing product, or scrape its lesson content for redistribution
  • Interfere with the app's operation, its license server, or attempt to bypass the Pro lesson gate

4. Free and Pro tiers

Free lessons are free indefinitely — we won't add a time limit or take them away. Pro unlocks the remaining lessons and is purchased differently depending on platform:

iOS — subscription

Pro on iOS is a subscription (monthly or annual) billed and auto-renewed through your Apple ID, via the App Store and RevenueCat. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings — we cannot cancel it for you.

Android — license key

Pro on Android is unlocked with a license key purchased through Ko-fi, an independent payment processor, in weekly, monthly, annual, or lifetime terms. These are one-time purchases, not auto-renewing subscriptions — when a term ends, you buy a new key to continue. Your key activates on one device at a time; a restore key sent by email lets you move it to a new device.

5. Payments and refunds

We do not process or store your payment details. iOS payments are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policy — request a refund through your Apple ID purchase history. Android license-key purchases are handled by Ko-fi and are subject to Ko-fi's terms; contact [email protected] for help with a license issue.

6. No account, your progress is local

queri does not require sign-up. Your lesson progress, streak, and settings are stored on your device, not on our servers, and are not recoverable if you uninstall the app or lose your device — except that your Pro license status itself can be restored using your license key or restore key where applicable.

7. Content ownership

The queri app, its curriculum, lesson text, datasets, branding and design are owned by Omzor and protected by copyright. Your license under these terms lets you use the app; it does not transfer ownership of any of it to you.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

queri is provided "as is". We work to keep the course accurate and the grader reliable, but we don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular certification, exam, or job requirement. queri is a learning tool, not a substitute for professional database administration advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Omzor is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of queri. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, if any.

10. Changes to the app or these terms

We may update queri's content and features, and may update these terms as the app evolves. If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Termination

You can stop using queri and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a user who violates section 3, without a refund, where permitted by the platform (App Store or Ko-fi) rules under which you purchased.
